Dear Loyal Readers

I have made it news some time ago moving blogging platforms is the thing of the past. I'm staying with blogger; however, there is slight bit of a dilemma. I'm pretty comfortable writing on my sports blogging site, Sports and Everything Else. Hence, you can continue to subscribe to my writings through the aforementioned blog.

Thank you for your support.

To my dear readers:

It has been almost a month since I last wrote on my site. It's been one crazy month for me and I hope to get my new novel published within 2013. If not, it will in all probability be in 2014.

Sometimes I do wonder why I preoccupy myself with so many things on my 'to-do' list, but it's just me being me. I haven't been writing as much as I had hoped, but it has been a lot more than the previous years when I announced my retirement from writing in order to pursue other ventures. It's a work in progress.

Happy Holidays to all.

Humbly Yours,

Russell Pennwright

Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4

Well, as many of my readers know, I am a big time boxing and MMA fan. That's a fact. But, I'd like to point out that despite the greatness of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, I wouldn't want to see another installment. I have a weakness for this fight so I'm probably still going to watch the fight anyway.

My problem is that fighting 4 times is too much. What do they have to do? Wait until they do permanent damage to one another? That's 144 minutes of brutality assuming that the 4th fight will go 12 rounds as well, which is what I think it will be to begin with. Of course, there's no guarantee to that. The point is that this better be the last time.

The thing about Pacquiao and Marquez is that their styles are well-matched for the other's style. It's always going to be a hard-fought fight no matter what. This is why people still disagree on who actually won the previous 2 fights. Even the 1st one was controversial despite the fact that Pacquiao knocked Marquez down multiple times. Styles make fights, but if one of the men strays away from his strategies from the previous fights, it will be a long night for him.

Please, let this be the last fight. The fans deserve closure.

The Morning After

Well, it's bright and early this morning. I still feel tired about all the things I had to do and yet to do. Writing is one of the things that has taken a back seat. I have been giving a thought about going back to school, but that seems unlikely because of the other things I want to accomplish. It's been one crazy year.

Yesterday evening, I decided to do some editing on a mystery novel I have been working on for the longest time and I noticed an error on it that I had never seen before that would have been disastrous to the story. As the good saying goes: you can never rewrite too many times.

I hope to one day take a journey of enlightenment to find the missing link that will define me as a writer. Whatever that journey is or when it is, I hope to find the story that I will be known by throughout my writing career. Every famous writer has one. It's not like I'm famous anyway. LOL. And, I have yet to truly grasp that true potential.
