The Morning After

Well, it's bright and early this morning. I still feel tired about all the things I had to do and yet to do. Writing is one of the things that has taken a back seat. I have been giving a thought about going back to school, but that seems unlikely because of the other things I want to accomplish. It's been one crazy year.

Yesterday evening, I decided to do some editing on a mystery novel I have been working on for the longest time and I noticed an error on it that I had never seen before that would have been disastrous to the story. As the good saying goes: you can never rewrite too many times.

I hope to one day take a journey of enlightenment to find the missing link that will define me as a writer. Whatever that journey is or when it is, I hope to find the story that I will be known by throughout my writing career. Every famous writer has one. It's not like I'm famous anyway. LOL. And, I have yet to truly grasp that true potential.

Belated Thanksgiving Message

This world is an imperfect one, but still there are plenty of things to be thankful for: the love of family and friends, those memories shared and memories to be made.

Dear Readers,

It has been a long time since I directly wrote a letter to you. I've been busy writing and doing research for a long-term book project. It's a trilogy. And, we all know how long that can take. The process of finding a good publisher is also tedious and I will give you an update on that. But, I can definitely say that I will not have more published works for awhile, since I am in my dormant stage of my career in which I am writing multiple novels.

Thank you for your patience.

Pray for the East

I would like to take this moment to say to my readers, my twitter followers, and my blog followers that I do sincerely keep the people horribly affected by Hurricane Sandy in my mind, in my heart, and in my soul. I do pray for their well-being.

Bad Call

I don't know about the rest of baseball fans around the world, but the blown call by the empire in the 7th inning in the Yankees-Tigers game tonight has got to be one of the worst calls I've ever seen. And, to make matters worst, after the call was made, the player from the Tigers still never even touched 2nd base.

Oh, yeah. But it's delayed due to rain. It's torture waiting for it.

Jeremy Lin and the Basketball Season

The basketball season is underway, just nearly 29 days to go for the start of the regular season. In Houston, all the attention is on Jeremy Lin.

Lin has been much of a project during the waning weeks of the 2011-2012 NBA season. It will be interesting to see how well he develops in the last couple of months. I don't like buying into hypes, but from what I saw, Jeremy Lin does have talent. The talent is definitely there. What he makes of that talent and how he hones it, will be entirely up to him. In other words, he will only excel by how well he composes himself in the court.

The NBA season is a long and gruesome ordeal. The sport itself isn't for the faint of heart. Many obstacles confronts a player throughout the year whether it's simply exhaustion, mental blocks, and most definitely the most dreaded of all: injury. These are the things that happen. The other obstacle that's often overlook is being away from family.

In the midst of it all, the Houston Rockets decision to sign Jeremy still remains a great question of being a good one or a bad one. There's no doubt that Jeremy has talent. But, can he shine? That's the question.

If you ask me, in my own personal opinion, he will have a better chance to be great in a city like Houston where the market isn't as big as New York. That doesn't mean however, that he won't get plenty of attention.
